Hello and welcome to another Friday newsletter.
The last seven days have been spent trying to get back on track after my holiday/illness so there’s really not much to report on. I’ve spent the week sorting the house out, cooking lovely food and simply enjoying not being in ill health.
As last weekend was spent catching up on life admin, I’m very much looking forward to this one being slightly more fun!

The Paddington in Peru trailer.I adore the Paddington movies (with two being far superior which is very rare) so obviously I was over the moon to discover the new trailer on my Youtube feed! It looks just as warm and fuzzy as it’s predecessors and I can’t wait to go see it.
This Topshop faux leather mini skirt. When it comes to getting dressed I’ve been feeling a little bit lost but when this bold green skirt arrived, I knew straight away it was going to become a wardrobe staple. Absolutely love it paired with some black tights, a black tee and my DM Sinclairs.
Trying S4 on Apple. Trying is a beautifully written show centering around a couple’s struggle with fertility & their journey with adoption. The characters all feel very real and it came as no surprise to me to discover that the two leads - Rafe Spall & Esther Smith - are now a real life couple as their chemistry is unmatched. I only have good things to say about this show and it hasn’t lost any of it’s charm over the course of 4 series.
‘I Weigh’ with Jameela Jamil. I find that Jameela Jamil is a bit like marmite - you either love her or you hate her. I personally have no strong feelings either way but recently I started listening to her podcast ‘I Weigh’, that covers the beauty industry, mental health, body image, activism and more and it’s really good.
How to Fail with Angel Strawbridge. Escape to the Chateau is my comfort watch so I was obviously a little bit shocked when audio recording came out last year of her berating a member of the filming team (however it didn’t really put me off the couple). In this episode Angel tells us her side of the story and also talks about her dyslexia, and her and Dick’s love story. I still love them.
The Eras tour on Disney+. My husband and I don’t mind Taylor Swift but we aren’t hardcore fans like some. We did, however, watch the Eras tour on Disney+ over the weekend so we might be Swifties now? Even if you don’t like her music you have to give her props for her work ethic and the show is genuinely incredible to watch (even if her dancing is a little bit cringe in parts).
The Bear S2 followed by The Menu, also on Disney+. Over the weekend I finally finished The Bear s2 after a year long hiatus and the second half of the season is definitely better than the first half. THE GROWTH of some of the characters! The emotions! The tension! So, so good and I’m ready for S3 now. Obviously after watching it and hearing YES CHEF multiple times I decided to watch The Menu, starring Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy, after and it’s just a great movie.
I am Swiftie. Weclome, you can join us. 😄
